Picture-in-Motion-Picture Posing for a picture before the movie began, Brooklyn Neace (11), Ella Macari (11), and Jasmynne Bryd (11) wait for Savannah Kraus (11) to take their photo on Aug. 26. To prepare for the movie, the group packed their favorite snacks. “My friends and I brought Rice Krispie Treats, Fruit Roll-ups, and chocolate,” Neace said. “(We) were kind of talking and just watching the movie before it (deflated). ”

Break Time Laughing after showing each other text messages, Elvia Molinar (12) and Savannah Kraus (11) wait for the movie to begin on Aug. 26. When Molinar and Kraus had breaks from running concessions, they got to watch from behind the screen. “(When the movie projector deflated) all of us were kind of like, ‘Oh my god, look at it,’ and then we just kind of talked about the possibilities of why it happened,” Molinar said.

Prepped Arriving early, Bettey-Lou Peterson (9) and Evan Rivera (11) chat about the movie they’re about to see on Aug. 26. “It was funny,” Peterson said. “I kind of fell asleep, but then I woke up from my friends, yelling and everything. I saw the projector falling down and I was actually really surprised.”

Blanket Statement Preparing a place to enjoy the show, Bailey Zanella (10) and Dominic Lemmons (10) unfold a blanket and set it on the ground on Aug. 26. “(When the projector deflated) I was just kind of confused because I didn’t know if they were going to fix it, or if it was going to be postponed,” Zanella said.
